About Antigua And Barbuda

The mission of the Antigua and Barbuda Embassy in Amman-Jordan is to develop and protect the commercial interest of Antigua and Barbuda and to construct and foster relationships among citizens in Jordan under its jurisdiction.

Antigua and Barbuda Embassy in Amman-Jordan performs the following functions:

  • Creates or develops a demand for Antigua and Barbuda exports and promotes and protects its trade and other economic interests.
  • Promotes economic development/investments for Antigua and Barbuda.
  • Reports on commercial, financial and other economic developments in its jurisdiction.
  • Examines and certifies invoices and documents covering trade and foreign direct investment (FDI) to Antigua and Barbuda.
  • Administers in appropriate cases the implementation of Antigua and Barbuda laws and regulations related citizenship, immigration, trade, navigation and commerce within its prescribed jurisdiction.
  • Assists and protects the interest of Antigua and Barbuda nationals, including students and other migrant workers, within the limits permitted by international law.
  • Performs passport and visa services.
  • Performs registration services including those for births and details, solemnizes marriages, and conserves estates of deceased nationals.
  • Performs notaries and, in appropriate cases, other legal services.
  • Maintains an updated and confidential registry of Antigua and Barbuda nationals.
  • Keeps Antigua and Barbuda nationals informed of events of national interest.
  • Performs any other functions entrusted to a consular post by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
